Jesus is Alive! He is indeed and this book is a lovely introduction for young children about Easter in a very simplistic and age appropriate manner. The illustrations are colourful and fun, the most endearing one being the children sitting on Jesus knee/5. After Jesus dies, the priests say to Pilate: ‘When Jesus was alive he said that he would be raised up after three days. So command that the tomb be guarded. Then his disciples can’t steal his body and say that he has been raised from the dead!’ Pilate tells the priests to send soldiers to guard the tomb. "Most importantly," he explains, "these mythicists point out that there are Pagan gods who were said to die and rise again and so the idea is that Jesus was made up as a Jewish god . FHE Lesson — “Did Jesus Really Live Again?” Principle: Resurrection “All of us will die. But that will not be the end just as He took up His body and came forth from the tomb, even so shall all of us enjoy a reunion of body and spirit to become living souls in the day of our own ‘resurrection’.
Live, the newest book from New York Times bestselling author and popular social media presence Sadie Robertson, addresses life's weightiest matters and choices in fun, practical, and biblical ways and leads readers to engage with God's truth and light in a world that is growing more and more confusing. There's a big difference between being alive and knowing how to truly/5(). At Jesus’ second coming the righteous dead will be raised to life and taken up to heaven along with the righteous who are still alive on the earth. 1 Thessalonians says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Today some claim that Jesus is just an idea, rather than a real historical figure, but there is a good deal of written evidence for his existence 2, years ago. Archaeological discoveries continue to support the Bible's historical accuracy. We tend to forget that the Gospels and book of Acts are eyewitness accounts of the life and death of Jesus. Further nonbiblical evidence for Jesus' existence comes from the writings of Flavius Josephus, Cornelius Tacitus, Lucian of Samosata, and the Jewish following seven proofs of the resurrection.
Then Jesus died, but He stayed in the grave only three days and was risen to new life. Jesus is going to once again descend from Heaven and take out of this world those who have received His message and repented of sin. He said, “I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also” (John , ESV). ^ par. 6 For examples of Messianic prophecies fulfilled in Jesus, see Sect Sect and Section 16 of this brochure as well as the appendix article “ Jesus Christ —The Promised Messiah ” in the book What Does the Bible Really Teach? The extant manuscripts of the book Antiquities of the Jews, written by the first-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus around 93–94 AD, contain two references to Jesus of Nazareth and one reference to John the Baptist.. The first and most extensive reference to Jesus in the Antiquities, found in B states that Jesus was the Messiah and a wise teacher who was crucified by Pontius. Finally Alive, by John Piper, fulfills that need admirably. In his book, Piper explains just what it means to be born again, and shows how the scriptural teaching on that subject is designed to give all glory to God, and to cast us in utter dependence upon him.
